Copyright (DMCA) policy
Last updated 24 September 2026
Written in plain language to describe exactly how LimeLight works today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer; if anything here is unclear, write to us and we will answer.
We respect the rights of artists and other creators and expect everyone who uses LimeLight to do the same. This page explains how to tell us about material on LimeLight that you believe infringes your copyright, under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws elsewhere.
What LimeLight hosts
Videos made in the studio render on the maker's own computer and are not stored or published by us; if an infringing video is on YouTube, TikTok or another platform, report it to that platform. What we do host is: community looks (a look's settings, its name, a line of text and the name it is shown under), and files uploaded to the label tools.
Reporting infringement
Send a notice to our designated agent at olkona75@gmail.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough);
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- where the material is on LimeLight — a link, such as the look's page;
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
We remove or disable access to the material promptly and tell the person who posted it. A community look can also be reported with the Report button beside it; that flags it for us to review but is not a legal notice.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address with: your signature; the material that was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district where LimeLight may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice. We will forward it to them and may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' copyright. An account that is the subject of more than one valid notice that was not successfully countered may be closed without further warning, and its published looks removed.
Our designated agent
Copyright notices go to olkona75@gmail.com. Our registration of this agent with the US Copyright Office is in progress; until it is complete, notices sent to this address are still read and acted on. Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make the sender liable for damages. See also our terms of service.
